Marsalis is the Director of Winter Jazzfest

Rosenbloom States that It is Not Easy for Jazz Music to Survive
The founder of Jazzfest, Rosenbloom, states that it was challenging. It was because there were some of the dominant trends in jazz. The biggest goal was to draw stark lines through acoustic music. Traditional improvisers existed on the festival’s grounds. It was the first year when three stages unfolded on Knit.
The New York Jazz lost some of their enthusiasm in 2009. It leaves Jazzfest as a big game in town. After that, it became a large week of concerts and satellite events. There are a lot of different flavours in these jazz concerts and a lot of theatre performances.

Competition in the Jazz Festival

Three stages on Columbus Circle were the basis of the Unity Jazz Festival. The bookings were bigger than what Marsalis had for the central performances. The festival was a significant effort to bring across a theme they usually keep silent about.
There is a big decision to create a festival right after the Winter Jazzfest. It means something else. It is a different booking strategy, highlighting dizzy jazz over the past two decades. Once they created the festival, it had a stylish ring to it.
Fans bounced from Winter Jazzfest to Unity Jazz. They discovered that both shows were entertaining. The festival was a victim of its show. Instead of creating high-quality listening experiences, they were set back.
