Three-quarters of the council have seen an increase in syphilis issues. There is also an increase in infections with chlamydia. It showed up in one-third of the infected local areas.
A lot of the new cases are from the younger generation. It does not include the LGBTQ community. However, rates have also gone up in heterosexual people.
